This healing story comes in the middle of another healing story. Its very placement adds to the sense of it slipping in along the way. Quietly and strategically, this woman who had been suffering for a long time plans to put her faith in Jesus into action that she trusts will heal her. Like the lepers in previous stories, she is made an outsider by her illness. So the healing is more than physical, it is a complete restoration into community. How wonderful that Jesus is a conduit of God's by simply being present.
