Again moved by compassion, Jesus rushes off to heal a dying girl but doesn't get there in time, or at least that is how it seems. This time his powerful belief that God is at work leads him to what seems to be a misstatement, that she is not dead but just sleeping. It seems that Jesus had such a strong faith that to him seeing one about to come back from the dead is no different that waking a sleeping person. This great faith is met with laughter.
