Once again Jesus is moved to heal out of mercy and warns the ones healed to be quiet about it. The way Jesus responds to those in need seems to indicate that he cannot not help when asked. In fact, this is one of the prevalent descriptions of the character of God in the Hebrew scriptures. Being moved to action by pleas for mercy is a godly trait.
Is it impossible for you to ignore pleas for mercy?
